According to Woofun AI, US equities are showing a sharply divergent market landscape, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 both setting all-time highs (ATH) while Bitcoin's price movement lags behind.
On Tuesday, September 6, AI-related stocks led the gains. AMD (AMD.US) rose 2.8% after CEO Lisa Su confirmed strong chip demand, while Amazon (AMZN.US) also climbed 1.9%.
On the macroeconomic front, the 10-year US Treasury yield pulled back from Monday's 5.33% to around 5.26%, and Brent crude oil prices fell below $100, with some tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz easing inflation concerns.
Bull Theory noted that Treasury yields have fallen rapidly after touching their highest level since 2002, and if this trend continues, pressure on the Federal Reserve and the stock market will be significantly reduced.
Notably, Woofun AI's compiled data shows that this macro tailwind has not been transmitted to the crypto market in tandem. Lacking earnings support, Bitcoin has been unable to benefit from the AI concept, with its price trapped in the $84,000 to $87,000 range, down about 32% from its high of approximately $126,200 set in October 2025.
Asset management firm 21Shares analyzed on Tuesday that a monthly close above $88,000 would signal a trend reversal; conversely, a drop below $81,000 could lead to a further decline toward $71,300.
Although September has historically been Bitcoin's worst-performing month, and over the past 30 days the market has weathered multiple headwinds including Federal Reserve rate hikes, US Treasury bond yields hitting 20-year highs, Brent crude touching $100 per barrel, the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, and the US Senate rejecting crypto-related legislation, Bitcoin still rose 6.2% against the odds. Last week's weak employment data reduced rate hike expectations, driving the coin's price recovery.
Analyst Benjamin Cowen believes that yields are likely to decline after the midterm elections, potentially boosting the market ahead of the Federal Reserve meetings on October 27 and 28. Until yields decline further, Bitcoin may continue to underperform Wall Street.
