Zhongyuan Bank Updates Board Composition and Committee Line-up

Zhongyuan Bank Co., Ltd. (ZYBANK) released an updated roster of its directors and their committee assignments dated 17 September 2026.

The Board now consists of 10 directors: 2 Executive Directors (Chairman Zhou Feng and Vice-Chairman/President Zhang Tao), 3 Non-executive Directors (Feng Ruofan, Li Wenqiang and Zhang Shu) and 5 Independent Non-executive Directors (Xu Yiguo, Zhao Zijian, Wang Maobin, Pan Xinmin and Gao Pingyang). Independent directors represent 50.00% of total board seats, strengthening the bank’s governance independence.

Six specialised committees have been established—Strategy & Development, Audit, Related Party Transactions Control, Risk Management, Nomination & Remuneration and Consumer Rights Protection. Chairman Zhou Feng leads the Strategy & Development Committee, while other committee chair responsibilities are distributed among independent directors, underscoring the Board’s emphasis on checks and balances.

The announcement reiterates that Zhongyuan Bank is not an authorised institution under Hong Kong’s Banking Ordinance (Cap. 155), is not supervised by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and is not permitted to conduct banking or deposit-taking business in Hong Kong.
