Yangqu County Railway Protection Office and Yangqu Station Police Station Issue a Friendly Reminder: Do Not Fly Drones Arbitrarily Along Railway Lines

Deep News
Yesterday

Railway corridors are not free-flight zones for drones! A seemingly ordinary "casual takeoff" can very likely threaten railway traffic safety and cross legal red lines.

A Small Drone Can Be a Major Hidden Danger to Railway Safety

High-speed and conventional trains travel at high speeds and with high frequency, placing extremely strict demands on the environment around the tracks. Illegal drone flights pose enormous risks.

Strictly Observe the Red Line: Unauthorized Flights Along Railway Lines Are Strictly Prohibited!

According to the Interim Regulations on the Management of Unmanned Aircraft Flight and other relevant provisions: a 100-meter area on each side of electrified railway lines is controlled airspace for drones; without approval from the air traffic management authority, no unmanned aircraft flight activities may be carried out within controlled airspace.

Serious Consequences for Illegal Flights

Article 51 of the Interim Regulations on the Management of Unmanned Aircraft Flight: Anyone who, without approval, operates a micro, light, or small civil unmanned aircraft in controlled airspace, or operates a model aircraft outside the airspace designated by the air traffic management authority, shall be ordered by the public security organ to stop the flight and may be fined up to 500 yuan; if the circumstances are serious, the unmanned aircraft used in the illegal flight shall be confiscated, and a fine of not less than 1,000 yuan but not more than 10,000 yuan shall be imposed. Article 46 of the Public Security Administration Punishments Law: Anyone who violates relevant laws and regulations on flight airspace management by flying civil unmanned aircraft or aviation sports equipment, or by releasing unmanned free balloons, tethered balloons, or other airborne objects, if the circumstances are relatively serious, shall be detained for not less than five days but not more than ten days. If a drone collides with a train, causes a power outage by contacting the overhead contact line, or causes casualties and major property losses, and the circumstances are suspected of violating Articles 114, 115, 119, and other provisions of the Criminal Law, criminal liability shall be pursued in accordance with the law for crimes such as "endangering public safety by dangerous means, negligently endangering public safety by dangerous means, destroying means of transport, destroying transport facilities, negligently destroying means of transport, and negligently destroying transport facilities."

Compliant Flight: Keep These Points in Mind

01 Daily recreational flights: Stay away from railway lines, railway stations, railway substations, overhead contact lines, and all other railway facilities. 02 Work and operational flights: If flight is truly necessary for inspection, surveying, or work needs, obtain approval from the approving department, and after flight permission is granted, report in advance to the stations along the line, relevant railway departments, and the railway police station. 03 Do not rely on luck: Do not test at low altitude, do not fly across boundaries, and do not fly blindly at night.
