Multi-Chem Limited has provided the Singapore Exchange Regulation with a detailed account of events surrounding a key vendor’s suspension of orders and separate Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) interviews involving two executive directors and two senior employees.
The company said its subsidiary M.Tech Products Pte. Ltd. first received an email from the unnamed vendor at 11:07 p.m. on Sep, 20 2026, halting “all order acceptances, marketing and business development activities and commercial communications.” Management alerted the board at 9:41 a.m. on Sep, 21 2026, and instructed the finance team to quantify the vendor’s year-to-date contribution. After receiving financial data on the morning of Sep, 22 2026, and consulting external counsel, the board concluded later that day that the suspension was material and required disclosure. A market announcement was released at 7:49 p.m. on Sep, 23 2026.
Regarding CPIB interviews, Multi-Chem said two executive directors and two senior employees were notified on Sep, 14 2026 and completed interviews by Sep, 15 2026. Confidentiality restrictions delayed internal disclosure until the night of Sep, 16 2026, when the Audit and Risk Management Committee and the board were informed. The company requested a trading halt at 7:51 a.m. on Sep, 17 2026, and issued a public announcement the same day.
Only board members, key executives, the financial controller and certain operational staff were aware of the vendor suspension prior to the Sep, 23 2026 disclosure. Multi-Chem added that it is reviewing its internal escalation procedures and may adopt a formal written policy to strengthen governance.
