On October 10, the Ministry of Commerce and seven other government departments issued a notice on implementing the "Five Excellences" initiative for quality e-commerce.

The notice proposes establishing a full-chain quality control system.

It calls for guiding e-commerce platforms to adopt a chief quality officer system, urging them to systematically and structurally build quality management systems, and to improve online service quality evaluation systems.

The notice also emphasizes deepening government data verification empowerment, supporting the provision of business license information verification and comparison for merchants on e-commerce platforms, and enhancing the efficiency of platform qualification reviews and risk prevention.

Additionally, it promotes the use of electronic authentication services provided by trustworthy service providers on e-commerce platforms to improve service quality and enhance the reliability and convenience of contract signing.
