Golden autumn brings abundant harvests, and it is the season of reaping. In the contiguous farmlands of Vegetable Garden Village in Yunhe Town, Heqing County, rows upon rows of sweet and crisp corn stand with green leaves and sturdy stalks, bearing large, plump ears, while the fields bustle with activity. Heqing Boyuan Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. is seizing the clear weather to organize more than 40 workers to carry out the harvesting, transporting, and loading of sweet and crisp corn in an orderly manner, efficiently advancing the autumn harvest.

The sweet and crisp corn planted this time is the high-quality variety "Nongzhong No. 12," covering a total area of more than 60 mu. To ensure uniform growth and stable yields, the base strictly follows standardized planting practices, setting 3,600 to 3,900 plants per mu, with field transplanting completed in early July. This variety combines excellent drought and cold resistance, offering strong adaptability and outstanding quality.

Based on market demand, the base precisely adjusts its planting rhythm. Through the scientific planting model of staggered transplanting and staggered market release, it effectively avoids the peak sales season when agricultural products flood the market, greatly enhancing market competitiveness. The mature sweet and crisp corn is mainly sold to Guangxi, Guangdong, and other places, with stable market channels and favorable prices.

This year, building on last year's planting experience, the base continued to optimize management measures, fully implementing full plastic film mulching technology and precisely regulating water and fertilizer management. The corn's growth, appearance, and yield have all improved noticeably compared to last year. According to Tian Qiu, head of Heqing Boyuan Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., the average yield per mu of sweet and crisp corn from staggered transplanting this year can reach 1,900 to 2,000 kilograms, an increase of 100 to 200 kilograms per mu over last year. Calculated at a purchase price of 2.1 yuan per kilogram, the output value per mu can reach 4,000 to 4,200 yuan. The total output value of more than 60 mu of staggered sweet and crisp corn exceeds 250,000 yuan, demonstrating remarkable results in increasing industry income.
