BASICSEMI (BASiC Semiconductor Co., Ltd.) disclosed that it repurchased 50,000 H-shares on 2 October 2026 via on-market transactions on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, paying an aggregate HKD 1.99 million. The shares were bought at prices ranging from HKD 39.00 to HKD 40.00, translating to a volume-weighted average cost of approximately HKD 39.75 per share, and have been retained as treasury stock.
Following the buyback, the company’s issued share capital (excluding treasury shares) declined to 287.17 million, down 0.02% from the previous balance of 287.22 million. Treasury shares outstanding increased to 364,400, while the total number of issued shares, including treasury shares, remains unchanged at 287.53 million.
The repurchase forms part of the mandate approved by shareholders on 28 August 2026, which authorises repurchases of up to 28.75 million shares. To date, BASICSEMI has repurchased 364,400 shares under this mandate—equivalent to 0.13% of the company’s issued share base as at the mandate date—leaving 28.39 million shares still available for future repurchases.
In accordance with Hong Kong Listing Rules, BASICSEMI is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares until 1 November 2026.
