Want Want China Buys Back 2.45 Million Shares, Lifts Pending Cancellation Pool to 16.85 Million

Want Want China Holdings Limited disclosed on 7 October 2026 that it repurchased 2.45 million ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange the same day. The shares were bought at prices ranging from HK$2.705 to HK$2.745, for a total consideration of HK$6.68 million.

The company’s issued share capital remains unchanged at 11.67 billion shares, as all repurchased shares are yet to be cancelled. Including earlier market purchases executed between 25 September and 6 October, the total number of shares pending cancellation now stands at approximately 16.85 million, representing about 0.14% of the current issued share base.

Since shareholders granted a buy-back mandate on 25 August 2026 authorising the repurchase of up to 1.17 billion shares, Want Want China has acquired 79.14 million shares, equivalent to 0.67% of the share count at the mandate date.

Under the Hong Kong listing rules, the company is subject to a moratorium on new share issues or treasury-share sales until 6 November 2026 following the latest repurchase.
