China Green Broad Ecological Technology Company Limited (China Green Broad; 01253) reported interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2026 showing strong top-line growth offset by wider losses and a further erosion of shareholders’ equity.

Revenue doubled year on year to RMB21.70 million, driven mainly by a RMB15.62 million contribution from landscape construction, RMB4.07 million from hydroelectric power station operation & maintenance, and RMB2.01 million from property-related services. Despite the 109.5% revenue surge, gross profit fell 62.3% to RMB2.06 million as the gross margin narrowed sharply to 9.5% (H1 2025: 32.3%).

Operating performance weakened markedly: • Loss before tax expanded 89.9% to RMB53.54 million. • Net loss attributable to shareholders widened 79.0% to RMB53.44 million. • Net margin stood at ‑246.0%, compared with ‑286.5% a year earlier.

Balance-sheet pressure persisted. Total assets slipped 1.2% to RMB2.01 billion, while total equity attributable to owners turned further negative to RMB28.69 million from RMB1.48 million at end-2025. The working-capital ratio remained at 0.5x, and net current liabilities reached RMB0.87 billion.

Management highlighted several strategic initiatives: • Integration of Shanghai Greenland Senmao Landscaping, targeting municipal projects in the Yangtze River Delta and leveraging Greenland Group’s development pipeline. • Expansion into “landscaping + new energy” by embedding distributed photovoltaic installations in green projects. • Entry into energy-storage services after securing a RMB54.24 million contract with PetroChina via subsidiary Shanghai Luboyuan Petroleum Exploration Technology.

To stabilise liquidity, the Group is pursuing debt–equity optimisation. Post-period, on 21 September 2026, the Company agreed to issue 595.09 million new shares to major shareholder Greenland Financial at HK$0.26 per share to settle HK$154.72 million of outstanding debt, subject to independent shareholders’ approval and regulatory consent. Greenland Group has also pledged continued financial support as the Company negotiates refinancing and cost-control measures.

Looking ahead, China Green Broad intends to align with China’s 15th Five-Year Plan by deepening its dual focus on ecological landscaping and clean-energy solutions.
