During the National Day holiday, while families gather in celebration across the country, the Northern Hub of ZTO EXPRESS-W (HK: 02057) is bustling with orderly activity. Frontline logistics workers have given up their time off to remain at their posts, ensuring efficient parcel sorting and timely delivery, safeguarding urban operations and supporting the National Day holiday through their dedication and hard work.
Walking into the sorting workshop at the Northern Hub of ZTO EXPRESS-W (HK: 02057), every stage from unloading, sorting to transfer is proceeding methodically and efficiently. To ensure that logistics channels remain uninterrupted and services do not pause during the National Day holiday, employees have voluntarily given up their leave, staying on the logistics frontline to guarantee smooth parcel operations.
Wang Chengbo is one of them. Having worked at ZTO for five years, he has spent every holiday at his post. Wang Chengbo, team leader of the inbound unloading group at the Northern Hub of ZTO EXPRESS-W (HK: 02057), said: "I chose to stay on duty during the National Day holiday, holding my position to ensure that vehicles enter the plant smoothly every day, dock accurately, and unload promptly, so that vehicles can operate normally."
Unloading and entering the facility is the first checkpoint in parcel circulation, while precise sorting directly affects the accurate delivery of every parcel. In the small-item automated sorting area, staff closely monitor equipment operations and strictly control operational details, completing sorting tasks to high standards and minimizing mis-sorting and missed sorting, ensuring parcels are accurately diverted and reach their destination outlets directly.
Hu Lili, team leader of the inbound small-item automation group at the Northern Hub of ZTO EXPRESS-W (HK: 02057), said: "As a veteran employee of ZTO, I feel that especially during holidays, I should take the lead in staying at my post, accurately completing every step of the operation, avoiding mis-delivery, and ensuring parcels are delivered to subordinate outlets in a timely and accurate manner. Although I have less time to spend with my family during the holiday, being able to ensure normal parcel sorting makes it all very worthwhile."
During the National Day holiday, 1,450 staff members at the Northern Hub of ZTO EXPRESS-W (HK: 02057) remain on the frontline, with the park operating 24 hours nonstop. The entire process is efficiently connected and flows on schedule, with daily parcel handling volume reaching approximately five million items, fully achieving nonstop express delivery services and uninterrupted logistics during the holiday.
Wang Zilong, operations supervisor at the Northern Hub of ZTO EXPRESS-W (HK: 02057), said: "During the holiday period, all our frontline sorting and operations staff remain at their posts, taking turns on duty and fighting on the logistics transportation frontline. We strictly implement safety production requirements, rigorously control parcel security checks and all vehicle passage checkpoints, holding the bottom line of holiday safety production, while fully improving speed and efficiency, keeping civil logistics channels open, and ensuring express delivery reaches thousands of households in a timely manner."
