Douyin Life Services released its "2026 Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day Consumption Report." Data shows that offline consumption was booming during the "double holiday," with Douyin group-buying order volume rising 53% year-on-year.
Among them, catering orders grew more than 61% year-on-year, travel and hotel orders rose 42% year-on-year, and hotel and guesthouse orders increased nearly 79% year-on-year.
The report noted that both local consumption and long-distance travel consumption heated up during the holiday, with online content continuing to stimulate enthusiasm for offline consumption. Users' demand to move from "watching" to "deep participation" is growing stronger, and in-depth experiential consumption has become mainstream.
New holiday scenarios and new entry points clearly boosted consumption. Data shows that in the Dou Shengsheng App, the average daily transaction increase for scenic area group purchases reached 142%.
The AI entry became a new holiday consumption scenario for the first time, driving travel consumption. "Doubao Hotel Booking" order volume rose more than 56% month-on-month, with Chengdu, Beijing, and Xi'an recording the most orders.
The report also showed that the 66 Travel Card launched in 10 cities including Chongqing, Chengdu, and Hangzhou, driving a month-on-month increase of more than 84% in hotel card check-ins during the National Day holiday.
