Google and Constellation Energy Sign Nuclear Power Deal, Australian Uranium Stocks Rise

Google's parent company Alphabet has agreed to purchase nuclear power from Constellation Energy Corp (NASDAQ: CEG), a deal that will drive 890 megawatts of new reactor capacity, and Australian uranium stocks rose on the news.

On Tuesday, Constellation Energy Corp (NASDAQ: CEG) shares climbed 12% in New York.

In early Asian trading on the Australian market, Paladin Energy (ASX: PDN) rose as much as 6.5%, Deep Yellow (ASX: DYL) gained 9.5%, Silex Systems (ASX: SLX) advanced 8.2%, and NexGen Energy (ASX: NXE) added 6.2%.
