Direct Drive (06731) jumped more than 12% in morning trading, reaching a high of HK$28.88, up nearly 35% from its IPO price of HK$21.6. As of press time, the stock was up 8.86% at HK$28, with turnover of HK$19.3069 million.

On the news front, Direct Drive recently announced that it has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Zhongxi Kechuang. The company is expected to further strengthen upstream magnetic materials research and development as well as supply chain coordination, and extend its materials-side advantages into motor and robotic power systems.

If the joint research and development results are subsequently commercialized, this is expected to further enhance the company's independent and controllable capabilities in core components of direct-drive motors, and provide support for its expansion into emerging application scenarios such as embodied intelligence and industrial robots.

According to Frost & Sullivan data, Direct Drive's direct-drive power modules shipped approximately 8.5 million units in 2025, making it the world's first and only company to achieve annual shipments of direct-drive power modules exceeding 5 million units, with an absolute leading market share.

As of the first half of 2026, direct-drive power module shipments reached approximately 5.7 million units, and the company has entered the supply chains of four of the world's top ten consumer robot manufacturers.
