Gold and Silver Plunge Sharply, Over 110,000 Liquidated in Crypto Market

In tonight's trading session, gold and silver suddenly plummeted in a straight-line decline. Spot gold broke below the $4,100 per ounce mark, hitting a fresh low since August 5, with an intraday drop of 2.26%. Spot silver fell below $60 per ounce, declining 3.50%.

International oil prices surged strongly, with Brent crude holding above $101 per barrel, up more than 1%, while WTI crude held above $90 per barrel. International crude oil in dark pool trading rose sharply, with Brent crude in dark pool trading climbing over 3.3%.

The cryptocurrency market accelerated its sell-off, with Bitcoin plunging more than 3% in a straight-line drop to a near one-week low, currently at $83,511. ETH fell nearly 5%, SOL dropped nearly 3%, and coins such as HYPE, XRP, and ZEC declined more than 4%. Data from Coinglass shows that over 110,000 people were liquidated in the cryptocurrency market over the past 24 hours.
