Prudential plc (PRU) announced on Oct, 02 2026 that it granted 327,889 new ordinary share options to 362 non-employee participants under the Prudential International Savings-Related Share Option Scheme for Non-Employees (ISSOSNE).
The options carry an exercise price of HKD 85.10 per share, compared with the HKD 95.00 closing price on the grant date. They will vest after three or five years and may be exercised during either Dec, 01 2029 to May, 31 2030 or Dec, 01 2031 to May, 31 2032, depending on the chosen savings term.
Prudential said the awards aim to incentivise and retain external service providers, such as insurance agents, who are closely linked to the group. None of the grantees is a director, chief executive or substantial shareholder of the company, nor an associate of any such person.
Following the grant, the maximum number of shares available for future option awards under Prudential’s share plans is 192.0 million, with 35.0 million shares remaining under the service-provider sub-limit.
Prudential plc provides life and health insurance as well as asset-management services across markets in Greater China, ASEAN, India and Africa. The company is primarily listed in London and Hong Kong, and has secondary listings in Singapore and New York.
