Ascletis Pharma-B (01672) rose nearly 11% in the afternoon session. As of press time, the stock was up 10.80%, trading at HK$9.03, with a turnover of HK$10.4608 million.

Ascletis Pharma announced that key preclinical data for its weight-loss combination therapy ASC36_35FDC was presented in a short oral discussion at the 62nd Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD). In a diet-induced obesity (DIO) rat model, the combination demonstrated weight-loss efficacy that was 98% and 47% greater relative to the two comparator combinations eloralintide/tirzepatide and MET-233i/tirzepatide, respectively, and exhibited ultra-long-acting characteristics supporting once-monthly or even once-quarterly dosing.

Public information shows that ASC36_35FDC is a combination therapy independently developed using Ascletis Pharma's proprietary structure-based AI-assisted drug discovery and ultra-long-acting drug development platform technology. It is positioned as a "potential best-in-class therapeutic candidate." Recently, the company announced that following receipt of FDA clearance of its IND, it has initiated a U.S. Phase I study of the ASC36 oral tablet for the treatment of obesity.
