Hong Kong-listed Mega Genomics Limited conducted an on-market share repurchase on 5 October 2026, acquiring 80,600 ordinary shares at prices ranging from HKD 7.02 to HKD 7.045 per share. The transaction cost totalled HKD 0.57 million, implying a volume-weighted average price of approximately HKD 7.04.
Following the buyback, the company’s issued share capital outstanding (excluding treasury shares) declined by 0.0363 % to 221.97 million shares, while treasury shares rose to 2.33 million. The overall issued share count remained unchanged at 224.30 million shares, as the repurchased stock has been retained in treasury and not cancelled.
The repurchase formed part of a mandate approved on 21 May 2026, which authorises the company to repurchase up to 22.43 million shares. Cumulative repurchases under this mandate now stand at 2.33 million shares, representing 1.04 % of the issued share base at the mandate date. Under Hong Kong Stock Exchange rules, Mega Genomics is restricted from issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares until 5 November 2026.
Director Jiang Jing confirmed that the transaction complied with all applicable listing rules, regulatory requirements and the terms of the shareholder mandate.
