LOPAL TECH (02465) surged more than 5%, reaching 5.08% at the time of writing to trade at HK$9.92, with turnover of HK$88.6345 million.

On the news front, on October 8, LOPAL TECH announced that its second-tier holding subsidiary, Nanjing Liyuan, signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Zhejiang Jiyao Tongxing Energy Technology, stipulating that from 2026 to 2030, it will sell a total of 378,600 to 567,800 tonnes of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode materials to Jiyao Tongxing. The specific sales volume will be determined by orders, and the unit price will be set monthly based on fluctuations in raw material prices.

This transaction does not constitute a related-party transaction or a major asset restructuring, and is not required to be submitted to the board of directors or shareholders' meeting for review.

The company stated that the agreement will help establish a long-term stable relationship with downstream partners, enhance the company's competitiveness in the new energy battery materials sector, and, if successfully performed, will have a positive impact on future performance.
