The Hang Seng Index climbed 1.09%, up 259 points, to 24,045, while the Hang Seng Tech Index gained 1.55%, according to Zhitong Finance. Morning trading turnover in Hong Kong reached HK$111.7 billion.
Gold stocks staged a broad recovery. Spot gold returned above $4,170, with continued central bank purchases providing support for prices. Chifeng Gold (06693) rose 3.7%, and Zijin Gold International (02259) gained 3.82%.
Automotive stocks mostly advanced, with overseas expansion becoming a core growth engine for carmakers. Li Auto-W (02015) rose 4%, and BYD Company (01211) gained 3.4%.
Xiaomi Group-W (01810) surged more than 7% in the morning session, leading blue-chip gains. The Xiaomi Pengcheng model surpassed 70,000 locked orders in its first month on the market.
Kingdee International (00268) rose more than 4%. Kingdee's Lingji AI operating system has already been deployed by over 3,000 customers.
Yum China (09987) gained more than 4%. Goldman Sachs recently raised the company's target price and net profit forecast.
CATL (03750) at one point rose more than 5%. The company's technology, supply chain control capabilities, and scale advantages have built its moat.
Topu CNC (07688) climbed more than 6%. Its Stock Connect shareholding ratio has continued to rise, and the company is a leader in five-axis CNC machine tools for aerospace.
Yunji (02670) skyrocketed 48%. The company was included in Stock Connect, having previously issued 624 million shares due to a share subdivision.
Shandong Molong (00568) fell more than 6%. Trump stated he will not attack Iran before the midterm elections.
Hong Kong PCB concept stocks weakened. Dingtaike (01377) dropped 20%, Kingboard Holdings (00148) fell more than 5%, and Victory Giant Technology (02476) declined more than 8%.
