News emerged on the evening of October 5 regarding online rumors that a passenger involved in a cabin conflict on flight MU6741 on September 28 was Ou Xiantao, chairman of Guangdong Wannianqing Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., sparking widespread discussion among netizens.
In response, a reporter contacted the investor relations department of Guangdong Wannianqing Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. The person answering the phone stated that the claim is false, saying: "The chairman has never taken this flight. This matter has nothing to do with the chairman, and he is not the person involved as rumored online. The chairman has already filed a police report."
The same person also stated that the incident has no connection whatsoever to the company's operations, that the company is operating normally, and that all business is proceeding as usual. They expressed hope that the rumor will not be further spread.
According to an earlier statement from China Eastern Airlines, the incident occurred on flight MU6741 from Hefei to Dalian, when a flight attendant pushing a meal cart accidentally made slight contact with the elbow of a sleeping passenger, who subsequently became emotionally agitated and used aggressive language.
On October 3, China Eastern Airlines issued a follow-up statement confirming that the passenger's actions were suspected of disrupting order on board, that a report had been filed with public security authorities, and that the airline had suspended service to that passenger.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing, and the specific details should be based on the official investigation results.
