Seacon Strikes $114 Million Deal for Vessel Fleet with Cetus; Shares Rise 8%

Seacon Shipping Group (HKG:2409) and its unit agreed to sell a fleet of dry-bulk vessels and signed a charter deal for certain ships with Cetus Group for $113.6 million.
Under the terms of the deal, the company will receive 70% of payment in form of Cetus stock prior to its Oslo listing, and the rest in cash, according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
Shares of Seacon jumped 8% in Friday's trading.
Seacon expects to book a profit of $70 million in a phased manner from 2026 through 2028.
