Dolby Laboratories' Atmos Spatial Audio to Be Used on Apple TV's Formula 1 Broadcasts

Dolby Laboratories (DLB) and Apple (AAPL) said Wednesday that Formula 1 (FWONA) races televised on Apple TV will use Dolby Atmos spatial audio and Dolby Vision beginning with the US Grand Prix on Oct. 23.
Formula 1 in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos is available through the Apple TV app on supported Apple devices and compatible Dolby-enabled TVs, soundbars, and home theater systems, the companies said.
Apple TV owns the exclusive rights to broadcast Formula 1 events in the US.
