Japanese Shares Open Marginally Higher

Japanese equities opened marginally higher Tuesday.

The Nikkei 225 was little changed, up just 7.75 points to 69,954.61 at the opening bell.

Japan Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama and Australian Treasurer Jim Chalmers launched a new framework to deepen economic security ties, covering investment trends and supply chains, including defense, according to a memorandum signed on Monday.
