Singapore's Energy Market Authority (EMA) will study the feasibility of establishing an energy infrastructure cluster on Pulau Tekong to strengthen energy security and support the country's energy transition.
The study will assess potential energy infrastructure on an estimated 200-hectare site, including hydrogen-ready natural gas-fired power plants, a liquefied natural gas terminal and other low-carbon energy technologies, according to a Tuesday announcement.
EMA will appoint a consultant through a tender published Oct. 5, with the appointment expected by mid-2027.
The study is estimated to take about two years, it said.
