Kodiak Sciences (KOD) was Smart Insider's stock pick of the week after non-executive director Felix Baker bought $157 million in shares on Sept. 29.
Baker, who has served on the board since September 2015, acquired the shares at $80.85 apiece, increasing his stake by 10%, Smart Insider said in a Tuesday note.
The purchase was made indirectly through Baker Bros. Advisors, where Baker is a managing member, with the investment firm now holding 35% of Kodiak Sciences, according to the note.
Smart Insider said Baker's history with the stock has been "poor", but described the latest purchase as "notable" because it was his largest to date and was made at a higher price than his previous transaction - a $60 million subscription at $23 in December 2025.
Smart Insider ranked Kodiak Sciences +1, indicating a strong positive signal.
