Telix Pharmaceuticals (TLX) said Tuesday it administered the first US doses of Pixclara, a Food and Drug Administration-approved positron emission tomography imaging drug for brain cancer imaging.

The initial doses took place at medical centers in Cleveland and Indianapolis, starting the product's commercial availability in the country, the company said.

PharmaLogic will be the manufacturing and pharmacy distribution partner to supply finished unit doses to the market, Telix said.

The drug, also known as floretyrosine F-18, is used to help differentiate recurrent or progressive glioma from treatment-related changes in patients aged one month and above, it said.
