Guzman y Gomez (ASX:GYG) drew criticism for advertising the use of Australian produce for its food offerings while importing tonnes of pork from Denmark, ABC News reported Wednesday.

The quick service restaurant company reportedly said it gets pork from Australia and Denmark depending on "seasonal quality, availability and pricing." However, local producers are urging the company to be more transparent.

Guzman y Gomez did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
