Andersen Group identified a social engineering attack affecting a single employee that resulted in unauthorized access to certain files with information about clients.
The company launched its cybersecurity response process, initiated a forensic investigation and notified law enforcement.
The investigation, which is now complete, confirmed there was no broader unauthorized access and there hasn't been an impact to operations, systems or Andersen's ability to serve clients.
Andersen has notified the clients whose data was affected in the incident. It has also taken additional measures designed to reduce the risk of similar incidents in the future.
