Ares Management (ARES) will recover only about 50% of the money it invested in TalkTalk after BT Group agreed to buy the telecommunications firm out of insolvency, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Ares received about 100 million British pounds ($133 million) for giving up its security over TalkTalk and agreeing to BT's acquisition, the report said.

TalkTalk declined to comment to MT Newswires, while Ares and BT did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
