Amazon.com's Ring brand is launching its first smart lock featuring a manual power dial designed to eliminate the risk of getting locked out when the device's battery dies.
The product is set to launch in early 2027 with a $249 price tag, Amazon said Wednesday. The Ring Smart Lock lets users generate enough emergency power to operate the lock by turning a built in dial on the exterior casing.
The keyless device is also designed to integrate with other Ring and Amazon devices. It also supports and will support voice control through Amazon Echo and Alexa.
