TD Synnex agreed to buy BlueStar, which sells business-to-business devices such as mobile computers and tablets, scanners, printers, kiosks and RFID tags.
The companies said BlueStar's areas of expertise include automatic identification and data capture, mobility, RFID and point-of-sale.
A press release didn't mention the sale price.
TD Synnex's distribution businesses sell hardware, software, and systems, while its Hyve Solutions business focuses on AI, cloud and connected infrastructure. Revenue rose 38% to $21.6 billion for the third quarter ended Aug. 31. Just over a year ago it announced the purchase of Japan-based Gateway Computer Corp.
