Four Chinese banks have lent QatarEnergy $3 billion on a five-year term for working capital needs, according to a Wednesday Bloomberg report.
Bank of China (HKG:3988, SHA:601988), Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (HKG:1398, SHA:601398), Agricultural Bank of China (HKG:1288, SHA:601288), and China Construction Bank Asia (HKG:0939, SHA:601939) struck the loan deal with the Gulf state-owned energy producer at 0.50% over the Secured Overnight Financing Rate, the report said.
QatarEnergy and the banks were not immediately available to MT Newswires for comment.
