ANZ-Indeed Australian job ads recorded a 12.9% year-on-year and 2.2% month-on-month increase in September in seasonally adjusted terms, according to a report released on Tuesday.
Due to the ongoing effects of increased interest rates, economic momentum and labor demand are expected to slow, leading to a gradual decline in job ads over the next few months, ANZ Senior Economist Jasmine Zheng said.
The unemployment rate is expected to increase gradually in the coming months, but the rise is anticipated to be modest given the resilience in the job ads series, per the report.
