Maas Group-backed (ASX:MGH) Firmus and CDC Data Centres, in which Infratil (ASX:IFT, NZE:IFT) has a 49.7% stake, are ending their AU$73 billion partnership one year since it was signed, multiple media outlets reported Tuesday.

The deal, known as Project Southgate, involves building 1.6 gigawatts of Australian data centers with commercial partner Nvidia by 2028.

The news, which was first reported by Rampart, comes ahead of Firmus' listing on the Australian Securities Exchange and ends months of speculation about the state of the deal following a series of overseas projects disclosed by Firmus.

Maas Group's shares were down 2% in recent Tuesday trade.
