Alligator Energy (ASX:AGE) has extended the interpreted uranium-mineralized trend at its Blackbush deposit in South Australia's Samphire uranium project by about one kilometer to the south, with mineralization remaining open in both directions, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

Two adjacent holes returned strong results of 5.2 meters at 0.15% equivalent uranium oxide from 65.7 meters and 6.6 meters at 0.12% equivalent uranium oxide from 62.7 meters, confirming the continuation of the Blackbush-Plumbush palaeochannel and expanding the project's prospective area, per the filing.

More than 9,000 meters of drilling across 91 holes has been completed as part of the 300-hole Samphire growth strategy, with extension drilling at Blackbush and infill drilling at Plumbush confirming uranium mineralization consistent with the existing resource, the filing said.

Drilling is expected to continue through the fourth quarter to support a planned mineral resource update in the first or second quarter of 2027, alongside feasibility studies and mine-planning activities, the filing added.

The company's shares rose 8% in recent Wednesday trade.
