Entropy Neurodynamics (ASX:ENP) said the first patient in the second group of its phase two clinical study evaluating TRP-8803, or IV-infused psilocin, for the potential treatment of binge eating disorder was dosed over a 60-minute period and was safely discharged following all required post-treatment clinical assessments, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The second group is testing a 60-minute infusion time versus a 140-minute regimen used in the first group, the company said. The patient reported maximum psychedelic intensity during shortened treatment session.
The company said reducing treatment duration is an important component of its development strategy. It will observe the consistency of the psychedelic experience, safety, tolerability, and whether improvements in binge eating disorder symptoms and their durability remain evident following the shorter treatment regimen, it added.
