General Fusion (GFUZ) has achieved a compressional plasma heating result with its large-scale Lawson Machine 26 demonstration, the company said Thursday.
The company's magnetized target fusion reached electron temperatures exceeding 12 million degrees Celsius, it said.
The milestone marks a measurable step forward in the company's aim to produce electrical power from fusion energy, the company said.
