Seaport Therapeutics Doses First Patient in Phase 2a GlyphAgo Trial

Seaport Therapeutics (SPTX) said Wednesday that the first patient has been dosed in a phase 2a clinical trial evaluating GlyphAgo in adults with generalized anxiety disorder and sleep disturbance.
The six-week trial will evaluate two dose levels of GlyphAgo for their effects on sleep and anxiety symptoms, with topline data expected in early 2028, the company said.
The company said phase 1 data showed a statistically significant 6.8-fold increase in bioavailability compared with unmodified agomelatine.
Seaport also plans to begin a global phase 2/3 trial of GlyphAgo in GAD in the first half of 2027, with topline data expected by the end of 2028, it added.
