Thailand's consumer confidence index fell to 52.1 in September from 53.2 in August, marking its first decline in four months, according to a survey released Thursday by the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce.

The decline reflected concerns over the economy's slow recovery, persistently high living costs, and uncertainty surrounding the conflict between the United States and Iran.

The current consumer confidence index dropped to 34.8 from 36.5, while the future consumer confidence index slipped to 60.7 from 61.4.

All three indices declined for the first time in four months.
