Zip (ASX:ZIP) selected Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise to build an artificial intelligence (AI)-native product factory designed to accelerate product development and drive innovation across its US operations, according to a late Thursday statement by the company.
The initiative will deploy AI agents across research, design, engineering, risk, legal and compliance to accelerate development, reduce costs and enable parallel workflows while ensuring security and human oversight.
The company will also upgrade its customer-facing AI assistant, Zia, with agentic capabilities to manage increasingly complex customer requests.
The company said the strategy will enable it to scale operations, enhance customer experiences and gain a competitive edge by integrating AI across its products and operations.
The company's shares rose 3% in recent Friday trade.
