Payments company OPay filed for an initial public offering of American depositary shares.
The company plans to trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker OPAY. It didn't disclose the amount or pricing of the ADSs it plans to offer.
OPay, which facilitates digital payments and loans, launched in Nigeria in 2018 and continues to do the majority of its business there. It has other operations in Indonesia, Egypt and Pakistan.
The company aims to expand across more African countries with a focus on offering financial infrastructure in emerging markets that have limited traditional banking systems.
Loan financing made up about half of sales in 2025, with transaction-based services and loan-facilitation services making up the other half.
Revenue from Nigeria made up 88% of total sales in 2025. Total sales roughly doubled, to $536.3 million.
